Why has mainstream music become so unspectacular?

Joel, do you live in the United States? All culture in our country is dying! Now, people think it is popular and acceptable or even responsible to mimic the dress and language of the ghetto. Go to the West Side of Chicago and hang around the stores and fast food restaurants and observe those setting the cultural agenda. How do you like it?
